起用はとても無ず貸しです。書き物尾弁起用したいですから、ポエム音十枚七時前に書かなければなりません。日本語尾弁起用しなければなりません。そうして、私の友達の利用へいきます。友達輪日本語がよくわかります。とうきよでべんきようしました。
日本語、日本語、どこにありますか。Is that how I would say Japanese, Japanese, where are you japanese? I was going for a Romeo and Juliet thing... Never mind.

きょうわ私のたんじょう日です。二十なりました。とても古いですよ。びようきです。かぜがありますからくすりのまなければなりません。きようともだちと二人こうちやをのみてケーキをしました。すずしくなりました。もうすぐたべます！びようきから、おさけおのみません。二十ですから、おさけをのむわいけません。でも、ときどきビールをのみたいです。おいしいですから。きのうのばんえいがお見てたくさんねます。

二本後の試験がとても無図化しかつたでしたが、たくさん弁起用しました。I really need to learn how to type in Japanese better... It's all turning into kanji that I can't read... but the point is that I am esctatic! I worked soo hard and I passed Japanese with a B-!!! Of course, a lot of people probably think I'm crazy for getting excited about that grade. Thing is, I worked for it. And I'm so happy. This is the best Christmas present ever! Over the break, I'm going to study, maybe even learning some vocabulary ahead of time in case I get busy next year. :D That is me. Very very happy. I'm in Kentucky now... I can't wait to tell my family that I got a B (-... but whatever:)) Yay!

I just made two sweet potato pies. I have to resist not eating all of the leftovers. I've been sharing with my suite mates, but they didn't eat it all Aughhh. The torture. I've been studying Japanese this weekend. Yay! Kinou no ban tomodachi to yonin Chinatown e ikimashita. Totemo omoshirokaata desu. Soshite (Sorekara? After that）Mr. Bean o mimashita.
Hm. I hate writing in romaji in Japanese. It's so icky and difficult to connect what I'm reading to what it actually means because I'm used to seeing it in hiragana or katakana. Speaking of which, I really need to review katakana. It just keeps coming up. It's not going to go away. Not that I want it to. O kanji. You scare me. The kids that speak Chinese assert that the kanji are totally different from the ones that they already know. That they are classic or whatever. But they seem to know it very well. Hm. I should know it very well. I am going to get a B- in this class. I am going to do it. Because I can. I can do better on the tests, study harder. I think the cd is important. 基能のばんかのじょにはなおあげました。Kinou for some reason changes to this kanji that I haven't learned. I guess I'm still sketchy with typing in ye olde Japanese. Ah. Technology. How you scare me. I wonder if downloading exercises onto my ipod would be helpful? Andrea is obsessed with the Nintendo Wii. It's coming out tomorrow. She's so excited about it. I spent the entire day cooking for the Thanksgiving feast and then eating the Thanksgiving feast and then napping the fullness off. A truly American holiday it is.
It's sad that vocabulary isn't in some alphabetical order in the glossary. It's so time consuming to look a word up that I don't know. I guess it discourages forgetting words. I'm going to work on my comprehension, study clue words (度して、どれ、どう、どちら、どんな）。Hm. How do I keep it from changing words to kanji? I clicked on hiragana... anyway... yeah. I'm excited about continuing to study next year. And IF for some reason I don't do well on the exam (this won't happen because I will work harder... I will have my AH HA! moment soon) then... I'll study over winter break. :)

30 minutes for 10 lines. Yay!

いいですね。
　えとう。。。きのう、ともだちとタイムスカワルへいきますた。シエビスでケサヂァおたべました。すこしたかいですが、とてもおいしいです。タニクスギビングにともだちのうちへいきます。
　にほんごおきました。むずかしですよ。ありがとうバォグおよみました。　　
Whew. That was tough. Well, I know it's full of mistakes, and really elementary. But it took half an hour to write. So... yay. Hopefully it makes a little bit of sense. :)

Midterm Exam

I waited a little too long to start this blog. Procrastination is evil, I suppose. Anyway, the midterm exam 。。。とてもむずかしです。
I have been really freaking out about Japanese for the entire semester. It's difficult for me. Realllly difficult. And for some reason I've been really antisocial lately. That makes it even more difficult, because maybe if I studied with friends a little more often I would do better. In any case, I've decided to finally start a blog. Last night was great. I spent so much time studying, but I really enjoyed it, making some friends in the process. We're going for sushi tonight in celebration of the completion of the exam.
I know why I'm taking Japanese. I hope to learn the language, the culture, make friends, etc. But for a long time I forgot why I started to take it and decided to curl up into a ball of misery when I did badly on the tests. I have never put forth this much effort for a class (or for anything, for that matter) in my life. It can be really disconcerting to see so many people speaking effortlessly, but at the same, I realize that we all have different backgrounds. My pace may be slow, but I'm realizing more and more just how much Japanese that I actually know. It's wonderful... so exotic, different, exciting. It's incredibly challenging for me. When I went to see the speaker from Amherst College, she confirmed that Japanese is the most difficult language for English speakers to learn. It makes me... vaguely proud. I mean... I would not give this up for anything at this point. Even though I'm worried about my GPA. The math just doesn't add up right. I'm afraid that I might end up with a C or worse, even though I am doing the 2 hours per night and more... Everyone in family thinks I'm crazy for taking this. They say Spanish is much more practical. But I love learning this. I love going to class, even when I'm frightened of the quizzes because it's just so... great. I've learned so much more this semester than I did in all of last year. For the main part, that's because of Japanese.
I realize that this was a long, rambling blog. I was trying to fit an entire half of a semester into it I suppose. But hey... that's what's on my mind.
